Adult Health Promotion
There is a growing recognition among private and public employers that the costs of health care can be reduced if they make available ways for their employees to promote their “wellness” and prevent serious health problems. This has led to the development of Employee Assistance Programs that include fitness activities, nutrition education, stress-reduction training, and counseling.
Somerville Mental Health Association designs programs for businesses and municipal governments that wish to provide Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) as part of their benefit packages. We can design and implement an EAP that includes health promotion, personal and career counseling, and clinical assessment and treatment as needed.
